Cheryl Tiu (張美鈴 Zhang Mei Ling) is a lifestyle journalist, content creator, culinary consultant, fine dining specialist and entrepreneur based in between Miami, Florida, USA and Manila, Philippines.
Cross Cultures by Cheryl Tiu is an events platform founded in 2016 to promote the exchange of cultures through food. We work with chefs from Michelin-starred and World’s 50 Best restaurants, as well as private kitchens and food movements. Our sister series, Cross Cultures Changemakers, was founded in 2020 to spotlight females in the F&B ecosystem.
CROSS CULTURES (CONSULTANCY)
In 2021, we started offering consultancy services, working intentionally with brands with strong giving back components, sharing the all-encompassing goal of helping make the world a better place through food and beverage offerings. Some of our services include restaurant and chef partnerships, curating culinary programs and creating social causes storytelling campaigns.
I have been in the lifestyle media/ publishing world since 2001, and worked over 13 years at a magazine house as both publisher and editor. I was also a TV presenter at Fox International Channels (Asia) and worked as a fixer at CNN International. These days, I am freelance, and contribute to a number of publications. I am also a Tastehunter for the World’s 50 Best Restaurants and Bars.
